(it kicked me off of my other update...this is just continued...)
may:-pretty boring month for the first part. justin was up here so i enjoyed having a good friend around.
-jennifer came up to visit for a weekend and, as always, we enjoyed every second!-justin was driving through nashville to go home to mississippi so, of course, i hopped in the truck for the chance to go home! i enjoyed time with mom and dad and carly, keith and darlene and anna, and brian and justin and jennifer and taylor.

june:-cody came home!!! i had waited **117 days** for him to finally come home and it happened!!! long hair and all :)
-he came home to us owning a house! that's right, i did that while he was gone and he was happy with my choice. not that i would EVER recommend doing that by yourself haha. but, i signed papers the monday before he came home on friday. here's our new house!!!
-cody's parents came for a week and helped us move and paint and everything. it was so great! our house is amazing and i love it. and it is OURS!!!
-cody came home.
-cody came home.-cody came home.-did i mention cody came home?!? that was by far the best part of june.-brian was here for some of it, so we went to a george straight concert. AMAZING. seriously.

-hillary was up here for a concert with kenny so we got to hang out! taylor and jennifer came up for it and we enjoyed the long weekend at the beach!

july:
-cody was out of town for a few weeks.
-carly came up here to spend a few days for her birthday/fourth of july. we went to dinner with brian. went to the beach. she got to meet our "brother" casper. and enjoyed sister time.

-my friends kortni and summer came up for a quick visit! and by quick i mean, like 2 days. but it was fun! we went to the beach and got to catch up and have girl time. it was perfect and just what i needed!

-cody was in memphis so i flew in to nashville to see him for a quick visit with him. it was great to just be together. we got to spend a little time with both of our families but just mainly it was a trip for us. we needed time together. and that seems like it's harder and harder to come by these days.

-i don't really get to go to the beach as much as i would like to, seeing as i only live 1 mile from the oceanfront. but, i got to see this awesome picture from God the other morning.
that brings us to august:
-we celebrated our first year anniversary. crazy to think it's already been a year.
-we went putt putting with brian one day and i realized that i am lucky to have two of the greatest men so close to me. cody is the best husband i could ever have asked for and he treats me so well. i love every moment i get to spend with him and don't ever take time with him for granted. brian is the best friend i could have ever asked for. i'm lucky to have gotten to see him so much this summer. i will miss him when he's not up here anymore.
hope this update hasn't been too long or boring. hope you enjoyed :-)
love,
stefanie
so, i am not even going to bother with capitals today. i'm too frustrated. with a few things.first off, i can't help but get frustrated when people say they miss their husbands/boyfriends and they aren't even apart a week. oh, it really kills me if it's just for like one night. i mean, come on. get over yourself. try months at a time. with them not even somewhere you can call. then try missing them. it puts one freaking night into perspective. i try to be sympathetic. i really do. okay, maybe i am lying. because i really don't think i try. granted, i know it stinks to be away from the person you love no matter how long, but don't even think about coming to me to complain about one night. seriously. i mean, the first month cody and i were married, he was gone for 2 weeks. seriously. you think i'm going to care about one little night. please. ok, i'm getting off my soapbox. i'm just a little passionate about this one. okay, okay, seriously i'm done.now to just my recent frustration. i'm not going into details for my sake, but work is killing me. it's not MY work. i LOVE my boss and all the people i work with. i even like all the kids and their parents. seriously. it's a great job. but, for this reason i'm not talking about, i haven't been at work for 2 weeks. and it's okay. it's kind of been a nice vacation, but it's not what i would choose. so, finally, yesterday i got the call that i was going to work "tomorrow" (tomorrow being today, thursday, but the call was wednesday...make sense?) and i was so super excited. for real. and now i went to work. i am done, early...and am not working tomorrow so the other stuff not involving my work directly can get sorted out. and it's just frustrating. i try to not get upset and i think i'm doing a good job, but it's still rather disheartening. and it makes me sad. what was said that happened would NEVER happen with me. i love my job and my line of work so much and anybody who has EVER known me knows that. it's just hard.so, now on to other things in my head...i cannot WAIT for sunday. sunday morning i leave for cabo with my bestest friend and we get to enjoy the beautiful beach and weather until wednesday. i am so excited. not only just to get away from all this stuff, but to be with her for 3 whole days. that doesn't happen very much with her anymore. for one, she's just dang busy. but for two, i don't live there anymore. so, i can't wait. it will be much needed time together.so, i think i am done thinking right now. i hope you enjoy getting a peak into my thoughts. have a wonderful day :)stef
So, I am trying to decide whether or not I want to do this. I love reading other people's blogs and catching up with life. But, do people really want to read what's going on in my head. And how much is too much? And...most importantly...will it make sense? For those of you who know me, no matter how long it has been...you know that sometimes I don't make sense. At all. In any way shape or form. So, work with me here. Right now, I am completely, utterly, and always overwhelmed. There is so much going on in my life. And what's really hard is some of it I can't talk about. Not that I don't want to, but my life is full of secrets that only the select can get access to. Okay, maybe not that serious, but kind of that serious.Cody and I are looking to buy a house. Our first house. A place that we can paint and nail things into and tear up (okay, maybe not), but it would be OURS. This is very exciting. But, oh so overwhelming too. I am trying to talk to mortgage brokers, our real estate agent (it's so exciting to say she's OURS), and all the appropriate steps. And it's a bit much. But, we are doing it. And it will be worth it. Especially with the economy like it is. It is such a buyer's market and we are going to take advantage of it.So, that's all I'm going to share today. I know. I said my mind was random and I think that's where I'm going to stop. Enjoy :)stef <3
